In this week's episode, I share why I stopped recording the podcast. And why it's taken me so long to get back to it.
My peri brain decided to go with overthinking and overcomplicating for a while and one of the impact was the podcast.
I share with you the one word that is helping me get back to what's important.
And that got me recording again!
What does Geese, Freedom and Focus have in common?
Well, one important question a couple of years back got me thinking about what freedom looks like to me and the only image that was coming up was a flock of geese.
But that image, eventually, made me face the fact that with structure comes freedom. That when I have too much freedom I actually don't use it in the best possible way.
So, I came up with a routine that helps me do just that, and that's what I am sharing on today's episode as well as some tools that I use to help myself show up in the best possible way.
You mission if you choose to accept it is to find a new routine (or a new task to add to your routine) to help you focus during the day and keep the alignment to your business goals. Let me know what you come up with in this post.

In the last few weeks, I've been having conversations with fellow small business owners, mainly coaches, strategists and service providers. And I am seeing some patterns emerge of similar experiences we share of going through peri-menopause and running a business.
In this episode, I share these patterns, as well as impacts peri-menopause has been having on how I show up in my business. I also review some of the ways I am using to change and adapt to being a business owner.
You mission if you choose to accept it is to find one (or more) positive impacts that peri-menopause is having on how you are showing up in your business. Let me know what you come up with in this post.

Christmas is less than 6 weeks away, that was my big a-ha moment last week.
I don't usually think about Christmas until December 1st (and that's only because I have a 7yo son) but this year is different because my brain is on strike.
And I know that if I don't start thinking about it, and obviously make things happen in advance it will only raise my level of overwhelm and anxiety.
Last year, it was a pretty relaxed Holiday season because of COVID. We mostly stayed here and just chilled. But this year, we want a do-over, and that means extra diner, extra party, extra everything. And I am pretty sure that my brain might not like that.
It's definitely not the time for me to lose control and become the Grinch. You know the unpleasant person in the room, with a wicked temper, a bad attitude and some anger management problem!
Nope, I want stay sane and I want to enjoy all of it!!!
So, in this episode I share my whole plan for making this holiday season the best it can be. And that starts right now... yep 6 weeks before.
But I promised... there won't be any decoration or xmas music until December 1st in our house. Pinky Swear!

It's World Menopause Day, and above all the physical symptoms that people all over the Web are talking about, there is a lot happening on the inside, in the way we show up in this world.
A big part of it for me is feeling guilty way more than I should and how it impacts my mental load as well as the people around me.
The Brain on Strike podcast is happening!!!
I am so excited to start this podcasting journey, sharing my own as well as other's experience of going through perimenopause.
So, the name of the podcast is not random. It comes from my own experience of feeling like my brain has been on strike for the last two years.
I have to say that I really thought that I had a brain tumor at one point (and Mr. google concurred). But no, it's just my hormones wreaking havoc on my brain.
Right now, I feel like I don’t control my brain anymore. That it can decide in a moment’s notice what goes and what doesn’t for a given day, or any given moment.
For many months, I’ve tried to keep pushing my old ways of doing things; to learn, to process information and to work the same way. And it’s not working at all.
It’s even affecting my sense of identity. I don’t recognize myself; I don’t know who I am anymore.
So, the podcast is about finding a new normal. To adapt to the changes and not feeling too guilty because I can’t work and learn the same way I used to before. It’s also about shifting my identify to be proud of who I am right now.
I will share my own experience in solo episodes, but it’s also a way for me to connect and learn with so many wonderful humans going through the same transition.
