Today we’re diving into Matthew 4:23–25 — where Jesus hits the road, and the kingdom starts going viral.

So Jesus starts touring Galilee like a one-man gospel explosion. He’s teaching in synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every affliction the people bring to Him. Nothing is too broken. Nothing is too far gone. If it’s busted, Jesus is fixing it.

Word spreads like wildfire. People from Syria start showing up. They’re dragging in the sick, the tormented, the demon-possessed, the epileptic, the paralyzed — and Jesus heals all of them. No cap, no delays, no failures. Just raw, divine power unleashed on human misery.

Crowds are stacking up — Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, even from across the Jordan. Everyone’s trying to get close. The kingdom isn’t creeping in quietly. It’s crashing in loud.

Here's the tea: When the King shows up, things change. Bodies get healed, demons get evicted, hope comes back online. Jesus isn’t just talking about the kingdom — He’s showing it. And if that’s what He did then, you better believe He’s still moving now. So bring your mess, bring your pain, bring your nothing — the King’s on the move, and He’s not slowing down.

And that was Matthew 4:23–25.

Today we’re hitting Matthew 4:18–22 — where Jesus builds His squad by walking up to fishermen and dropping the cleanest two-word command in history: “Follow Me.”
So Jesus is walking along the Sea of Galilee, just vibing, and He spots two brothers — Simon (aka Peter) and Andrew. They’re mid-cast, throwing nets, doing normal blue-collar fishing grind. Jesus rolls up and goes, “Follow Me, and I’ll make you fishers of men.” No long pitch. No resume check. Just divine authority with a side of cosmic purpose.
And they don’t hesitate. They drop their nets. Like, immediately. No “Hey, let me finish this catch” or “Can we talk about benefits?” — just drop, follow, go.
Jesus keeps walking and finds another pair of brothers — James and John. They’re literally in the boat with their dad, fixing nets, running the family biz. Jesus calls them, and they bounce instantly. Leave the nets. Leave the boat. Leave Dad. Gone.
Here's the tea: When Jesus calls, He’s not inviting you to sprinkle Him into your schedule — He’s calling for everything. These guys didn’t get the full plan. No itinerary. No “what’s next.” Just the King saying, “Follow Me.” And they knew: that was enough. Kingdom purpose > earthly plans. When Jesus walks into your ordinary, He turns nets into missions and fishermen into disciples. Don’t wait for ideal conditions — when the call drops, drop everything.
