It’s that special time of year again, kids! Joe, Creepy, Debi, and Sarah broadcasted LIVE from a reportedly super haunted location – San Diego’s 10th Avenue Arts Center – as part of their “Terror at the 10th” Halloween celebration!

The last time we had Dark Waters on the show, shit hit the fan for a lot of listeners; and even Joe and I experienced a few things out of the ordinary. Strange things have been known to happen during the paranormal-themed episodes of Brainwaves, and Episode 63 was no exception. It was riddled with technical difficulties. Our guests, paranormal investigators Greg and Dana Newkirk, had warned us that Billy the Idol was known for corrupting and/or erasing files. Billy is, shall we say, NOT FOND OF TECHNOLOGY.

After the show ended, I reviewed the mp3 file before putting it up on our podcast server. From the intro of Greg and Dana on, there was nothing but distortion. Stranger still – even though the show itself ran about 2 hours and 35 minutes, the length of the mp3 file – for whatever reason – clocked in at 3 hours and 19 minutes. None of this makes sense.

Episode 63 was on its way to being the first officially “Lost” episode. Thankfully… and PURELY BY ACCIDENT, Greg had his Skype recorder running, so at the very least we were able to salvage the interview/investigation portion of the show, which runs about an hour and a half.

Shadow people. Hat men. Hagging. Sleep paralysis. What are these things? And why are they ready and waiting to torment us? That’s the question of the day for Episode 62 of Brainwaves: Horror and Paranormal Talk Radio; and joining us will be director Rodney Ascher, whose horrifying documentary The Nightmare has given many nightmares of their own!

What better way to kick off the Halloween season could there possibly be than to have the man behind the voice that launched 1,000 nightmares as The Cryptkeeper on HBO’s “Tales from the Crypt,” John Kassir, as our guest for Episode 61 of Brainwaves?!? That’s right, kids! Get ready to settle in for some spooky!

The 60th episode of Brainwaves: Horror and Paranormal Talk Radio is in the books, and this week we had joining us one of the few people who actually may be sexier than either Joe, Creepy, Barkan, or Dark… Tiffany Shepis (Victor Crowley, Tales of Halloween, Sharknado 2, “12 Monkeys,” Death House, and MANY more)!

Derek Mears is one of those rare actors who can transcend monster make-up and deliver solid scares via body language and overall intimidation. The awesome part? He’s one of the nicest guys we know!
