What if some of the greatest moments of faith in your life are waiting on the other side of a step you’re afraid to take? In Matthew 14:22-33, we see Peter step out of the boat and walk on water toward Jesus, reminding us that faith means trusting Jesus beyond what we can accomplish on our own. Discover how God calls us to trust His Word, step out in obedience, and embrace opportunities that bring Him glory, even when the outcome is uncertain.

Following Jesus is a lifelong journey, and God never intended for us to walk it alone. In Hebrews 10:23–25, we discover how Christian community helps us hold firmly to our hope, grow in love, and encourage one another to keep moving forward in faith. Through the example of Paul and Barnabas, we are reminded that we all need encouragement, and we each have a role to play in helping others follow Jesus.

In the sixth installment of our Great Adventure series, we explore Psalm 23 and discover that following Jesus doesn’t mean life will be easy, but it does mean we never walk through it alone. Through the picture of the Lord as our Shepherd, we see His guidance, provision, presence, protection, and faithful pursuit through every season of life. No matter what valleys we face or challenges stand before us, we can take the next faithful step because our Shepherd is with us every step of the way.

Sometimes following God means taking a road we never expected. In this message, we learn from Israel’s journey through the wilderness that God’s detours are not always punishment, but often preparation for what He wants to do in us and through us. When we cannot see the path ahead, we can still trust the God who knows exactly where He is leading us.

Salvation is not the finish line; it’s the starting line. In Philippians 1:6, we discover that God begins a good work in us, continues to shape us to become more like Christ, and will one day finish what He started. As we learn to walk with Jesus, we can trust the faithfulness of the God who is still working in us.

An encounter with Jesus changes the direction of our lives. Through the story of the Samaritan woman, we see how Jesus meets us where we are, reveals our hidden thirst, confronts our brokenness, and redirects our future. No matter where you have been, Jesus can give you a new direction and use your story to point others toward Him.

Following Jesus is more than making a decision to believe in Him. It is a lifelong journey of leaving behind what holds us back, following wherever Jesus leads, and becoming more like Him along the way. In Matthew 4, we discover that when we trust Jesus enough to leave our nets behind, He leads us into something greater than we could have planned for ourselves.

Following Jesus is the greatest adventure we will ever take, but every adventure begins with a first step. Through the journey of the Magi, we discover that following Jesus requires responding to God’s invitation, making faith-filled decisions, counting the cost, persevering through obstacles, and trusting that God is in control. You may not know everything about the journey, but you can trust the One who is leading you.

In Mark 5, Jesus encounters a man who appears completely broken, isolated, and beyond hope—but one encounter with Jesus changes everything. This message reminds us that no sin, stronghold, past, or failure is greater than the saving power of Jesus. You don’t have to clean yourself up before coming to Him; you simply need to trust Him, because nobody is too far gone for Jesus.

Nehemiah 13 reminds us that spiritual drift can happen even after seasons of spiritual renewal. Through four areas of compromise, we’ll see how easily we can allow sin back in, lose sight of what matters, let our priorities shift, and become influenced by the people around us. Ultimately, we’re challenged to guard our hearts, remove what pulls us away from God, and keep our eyes on Jesus.
