Friends, in this episode i get very real about my struggles with mental health and motherhood. The things i say were terrifying to say out loud, and i spent a lot of time going back and forth on whether or not i edit it out. i decided to keep it. From the beginning of this journey, i have wanted this to be a safe space to talk about the heavy, loneliest parts of life and none of us will get there if we dont acknowledge the parts that scare us.
My son is aware of the things i say, and he understands that none of it has anything to do with him. He also doesnt agree with most of it, and thinks I'm being too hard on myself, which is another reason why i decided to keep it in. i think it shows how deep the struggles of parenting run, and how our biggest mistakes arent always reflected in our childrens eyes.....or hearts.
