Brannon has publicly disagreed with Mohler on several theological and public policy issues, however Brannon has said for years that we must be able to disagree on public issues without going personal and that the children and spouses of public figures are always off limits unless the child or spouse is a public figure in their own right. Today Brannon expresses his deep concern that a so-called discernment website has not only published a picture of Mohler’s son but then attacked Mohler’s son in a manner that was absolutely disgusting. While this website is known for its yellow journalism and tabloid reporting and even out right lies, the owner of the site has been widely promoted by well-known hyper-calvinist leaders as well as the Executive Director of a Bible ministry. Brannon explains that the common theme of so many of these disgusting websites is that their owners and writers are drinking from the poisonous and apostate well of hyper-Calvinism which should help us understand the fruit of their obnoxious behavior. They are also saying that I would have to be baptized again in order to be a member of their church to participate in communion. Is this a false teaching? Question: Is Malachi 4:5-6 speaking of John the Baptist as "Elijah” or do you see this predicting that the Jews will turn back to the faith of their fathers during the tribulation? If so, how does that account for the hearts of the fathers being restored to their children? Should parents of adult children take any hope from this passage? Question: In Ephesians 5:21, Paul admonishes us to submit to one another. Does this verse begin the discussion about who submits to whom in Eph. 5:22‒6:9, or are these two distinct concepts being brought up – submitting to one another vs the different groups mentioned subsequently? Question: Can you explain in practical terms and application how we are saved from the power of sin? This is second tense salvation, but it is tough to find specific teaching what that looks like and how one lives it out.
