This week we welcome vocal group, Ayo- Voices of Glory, from the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center. 

"AYO starring Voices of Glory" in Branson showcases the famous Cole siblings, Michael, Avery, and Nadia, the talented and captivating youngsters whose career was launched when America's Got Talent's television audience voted them into the Top 5. This week we welcome vocal group, Absolutely Country, Definitely Gospel, (also known as Faith's Journey) from the Uptown Café. 

Faith's Journey is a gospel trio based in Branson, Missouri. With over 50 years of singing gospel music experience, these individuals are no stranger to music fans across the country.

This group combined has an amazing tight harmony which blends the traditional quartet with the bluegrass country sound and a splash of contemporary harmony to make the unique sound of Faith's Journey. Faith's Journey is in it's fourth season in Branson, Missouri performing four days a week at the Jackie B. Goode Uptown Cafe and Dinner Theatre with a 2pm lunch show called "Absolutely Country, Definitely Gospel".

Kari was born and raised in Denison, Texas, in a musical family where harmony-filled living room jam sessions with her dad and other family members were a part of her daily life. It was there Kari developed her love and passion for singing.   After high school, Kari moved to Virginia and over the next 5 years she shared the stage, as well as the recording studio, with many of the industry's most promising bluegrass artists. Then in 2001, following a dare from her younger sister, Kari moved to Branson.

 

After performing in several shows in town, Kari took a job at "The Paul Harris Show".  She went on to sing with the legendary entertainer Moe Bandy for eight consecutive years. While performing and traveling with Moe, Kari was honored to sing with him on the world famous stage of the Grand Ole Opry.

This week we welcome, from Mel's Hard Luck Diner, Amity Heart!

Amity Heart is a country crossover duo of best friends.  Travis Wayne and Jaci Rae have been best of friends for nearly 8 years.  Both have been singing since the age of 3 and their roots began by singing in church.

 

Later in life both would start their own bands. Jaci founded a country band called "Bitter Honey" while Travis had his southern gospel group called "Blood Bought".  Their musical influences of gospel and country give their duo a very dynamic sound. Fate would bring them together nearly eight years ago, and their musical romance blossomed from there. They have been singing together ever since.  

 

Amity Heart originated in 2016 and travels to churches, events, fairs, the Rio Grand Valley in Texas, and all types of other venues. When not travelling and performing, you can find them both at Mel's Hard Luck Diner in Branson singing and serving.

This week we welcome Stacey Whitton-Summers, as Martina McBride, from Legends In Concert at the Dick Clark American Bandstand Theatre!

Having worked since 1994 as a professional tribute artist, Stacey is one of Legends impeccable veterans.  Where it all begins for Stacey, is at age five, harmonizing with her mother's tunes.  Throughout her adolescence Stacey developed her musical passions by ceaselessly playing classical saxophone, and continued her performance training as a major in theater and opera.

With years of experience, Stacey has traveled around the world with her hand-made costumes and beautiful performances.  She has played for U.S. troops, shared the stage with Dolly Parton, and earned a place as a finalist on ABC's T.V. show "The Next Big Thing." Aside from gracing the Legends audience with her renditions of Marilyn Monroe, Stacey also performs as Madonna, Shania Twain, Gretchen Wilson, and Martina McBride.  She even had the opportunity to perform as Shania Twain, for Shania Twain!

Tammy & Tonya started singing in churches at a very young age along with their parents and three other siblings, Renee, Jamie and Laysa.  Their father, Tommy Bilyeu, was a Southern Baptist minister in the Ozarks and The Bilyeu Family spread their ministry in song over the region for many years. 

 

Branson historians will remember Tonya & Tammy's start in show business by performing with their family, the Baldknobbers, in the late 70's and early 80's.  The ladies also have a gospel trio, The Bilyeu Trio, with their brother Jamie. who also serves as pastor of Riverdale Baptist Church in Nixa, MO, where their late father served as pastor for 38 years.  Although Jamie is legally blind, and in spite of his visual handicap, his spiritual sight is strong!   The duo also spent over a decade performing as the "Stutterettes" with Country Music legend, Mel Tillis.
