Ryan Pelton is an international, award winning, Elvis tribute artist, actor, and singer/songwriter. He often refers to himself as the "Forest Gump" of the ETA world, and claims to have been blessed with an extraordinary amount of dumb luck.

In September of 1998, Ryan Pelton was dared by his mother to enter a local Elvis contest in Columbus, OH. At the time, Ryan was building websites for a living. Ryan didn't grow up in an "Elvis" household. He knew little about the King of rock-n-roll, except for the fact that adults in public often said he looked like a "young Elvis" growing up. Despite only having one week to prepare, Ryan entered the contest and against all odds, he won. "I remember having to write the lyrics on my hand because I wasn't familiar with any of the songs. And keep in mind, I had never sang before in my life before that first contest.

Pelton's days as a website designer were soon over, as he wanted to pursue the entertainment world, saying, "I don't want to be ninety years old one day and look back saying, "what if?'"

Over the next decade, Pelton honed his craft becoming an international, award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist. In 2001 Pelton was declared the "World Champion" when he won the Worldwide Images of the King Contest in Memphis, TN. He has performed all over the world, from casinos to fairs, theaters to festivals, production shows to professional sports arenas. Santino Tomasetti is singer-songwriter currently based in Brason, MO. His music features an eclectic mix of blues, folk, soul, and R&B packaged into an pop-centric solo act.

Oringally from Pittsburgh, PA, Santino has been traveling the country to push the boundaries of his artistry. From New York, LA, Nashville, and Branson, Santino has performed among some of the finest dancers, musicians, and singers on the planet.

Though he’s been busy performing 6-12 shows a week year round for the last five years, behind the scenes he’s been dedicating his time and energy to releasing his first album in 7 years. From writing, arranging, mixing, and nastering on his own, comes “Long Time Coming.”

Billy Yates is a Nashville based, Grammy-nominated, singer/songwriter whose songs have been recorded by artists such as George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Chris Young, Sara Evans, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols,
John Michael Montgomery, Daryle Singletary, The Oak Ridge Boys, Mark Chesnutt, Gene Watson, Sammy Kershaw, Doug Stone, Rhonda Vincent, Willie Nelson, Leonard Cohen, and more. Yates also co-wrote the George Jones classics, “I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair” and the Grammy-award winning, “Choices”.

A seasoned entertainer, Billy Yates also tours Europe extensively where he was recently named the European CMA Male Vocalist of the Year. With 13 number 1 singles on the European charts. Here at home, Yates has been featured on the world-famous Grand Ole Opry 50 times and has also appeared on TV shows such as Larry’s Country Diner and Country’s Family Reunion. This week we welcome The Baker Family!

From Birch Tree, Missouri, the Baker Family has become one of the most talked- about family musical ensembles in the country. They tour nationwide, performing around 100 concerts each year, and they have produced multiple CDs. The Baker Family is a past winner of the Entertainer of the Year award given by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America-Midwest. The band also received the Album of the Year honor from that same organization.

In 2016, the Baker Family won the Youth in Bluegrass band competition at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. This competition is the premier showcase in the world for bluegrass musicians under the age of 21 and their parents. That same year, the group was named Bluegrass Band of the Year by the International Country Gospel Music Association.

The family appeared on season 12 of the NBC television program America’s GotTalent. Producers of that program invited the group to audition for the program after seeing a YouTube video of their award-winning performance at the 2016 Youth in Bluegrass band competition. The group has also performed on the RFD-TV program The Bluegrass Trail.

The Baker Family has also won the Oklahoma Bluegrass Band championship four times, and they won the Pickin’ In The Pines band championship in Arizona in 2013. The band includes mom Carrie Baker, who plays guitar and upright bass. Three of her four children are also in the musical group.

Twenty two-year-old Trustin Baker plays fiddle and banjo, and he also sings lead and harmony vocals. He is a past winner of the Grand Master Fiddle Championship at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. This award is the most prestigious honor given to a fiddle player. He has also won more than a dozen other fiddle competitions in five states.

Carina Baker, 19, plays mandolin and sings lead and harmony vocals for the family band. She is a past winner of the Mandolin Player of the Year award and the Female Vocalist of the Year award from SPBGMA-Midwest.

Seventeen-year-old Elijah Baker plays bass and lead guitar, and he sings both lead and harmony vocals for the group. He is a past winner of the Oklahoma State Junior Fiddle Championship. Both Carina and Elijah have also competed and won other honors for their musicianship at festivals and contests across the country.

This week we welcome Goldwing Express!

Goldwing Express is a Bluegrass, Country and Gospel band that is originally from Okmulgee, Oklahoma. The band consists of three brothers and their father. Their mother, Juanita, who was a full-blood Native American Creek Indian, named the band "Goldwing Express" after their hobby of riding Goldwing Motorcycles in the 80's.

When their children were young, they decided to buy the boys instruments. Thirty-nine years later, they are still entertaining.

A segment of their performance is often dedicated to their Indian Heritage and they wear Native American headdress to represent their Creek Indian tribe. In Nashville, Tennessee, Goldwing Express was nominated for Bluegrass Entertaining Band of the Year by SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) from 2003-2006 and in South Texas won the Valley Star Family Entertaining Band of the Year in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas for 4 years.

Bob Baldridge, the patriarch of the family, plays mandolin and sings lead for the group. He also provides a lot of the comedy for Goldwing Express. His music career began in the early 70's with his brothers and sister. The family would gather at their grandmother's house and have all-day singings. Bob eventually wanted to form his own family band. Then came Paul, Steven and Shawn.

Tammy & Tonya started singing in churches at a very young age along with their parents and three other siblings, Renee, Jamie and Laysa. Their father, Tommy Bilyeu, was a Southern Baptist minister in the Ozarks and The Bilyeu Family spread their ministry in song over the region for many years. Branson historians will remember Tonya & Tammy's start in show business by performing with their family, the Baldknobbers, in the late 70's and early 80's. The duo also spent over a decade performing as the "Stutterettes" with Country Music legend, Mel Tillis.

This week we welcome Rhonda Vincent and David Brooks!

Bluegrass award-winner Rhonda Vincent began her professional music career at the age of five, playing drums with her family’s band, the Sally Mountain Show. She picked up the mandolin at eight and the fiddle at ten, performing with the family band at festivals on weekends.

Rhonda struck out on her own, singing with Grand Ole Opry star, Jim Ed Brown. Her opportunity eventually led to a deal with Rebel Records. Her work caught the attention of Giant Nashville’s president, James Stroud, who signed Vincent to record two contemporary country albums.

After Giant, she signed with Rounder Records where her passion for traditional bluegrass music flourished. She made her label debut in 2000 with Back Home Again, recorded with her band, The Rage. She showcases her hard-driving, high-energy contemporary bluegrass on The Storm Still Rages in 2001, One Step Ahead in 2003, Ragin’ Live in 2005, All American Bluegrass Girl in 2006, and Good Thing Going in 2008.

In 2000, Vincent won her first in a string of seven Female Vocalist of the Year Awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association. In 2001, she won the Entertainer of the Year Award. In 2011, Vincent released a collaboration album with Gene Watson titled Your Money and My Good Looks. During the 2020 Branson Christmas season, Rhonda produced and starred in her own show, Rhonda Vincent Christmas In Branson. She has a brand new album Music Is What I See.

Rhonda is constantly thinking of new adventures, songs, opportunities, and she loves the excitement and challenge of putting together a plan at the last minute. Anyone who has ever worked with Rhonda Vincent, knows they must be ready at a moment’s notice. David began playing piano at the age of six. He honed his craft until he was in his teens, when he hit the road playing gospel music professionally with groups such as the Hinsons upon graduating high school. After a number of years touring, he moved to Branson in 2003. When he arrived in Branson, David began performing in many of the most well- known shows in town. As a matter of fact, David has performed in most of the theaters in Branson with one show or another for almost two decades.

While David has been with many Branson shows, his most identifiable role to this day was his portrayal of Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet. He has also been named Piano Player of the Year for Branson on multiple occasions. In addition to the accolades already mentioned, David spent several years doing his own shows on many top Cruise Lines such as Celebrity, Princess and others, as well.

Currently, David has embarked on a new show in town and he is excited to have everyone come see it. His new show is playing at the Copeland Theater in Branson Meadows, called "The Hits". He along with some of his talented friends bring some of the most well-known HITS from the 50s to the present. Along with his new show, David continues to perform with Cassandre, The Voice of an Angel for Christmas and will also be a featured performer at the Moon River Theatre for the Christmas season, as well.

From Southern Missouri, award winning Bluegrass Band ROUTE 3 is comprised of veteran musicians that have performed at venues all over the mid-west as well as nation wide. With a traditional sound, many originals, and great instrumentation, they bring a hard driving bluegrass sound.

Route 3 are recipients of the 2020 Arkansas Country Music Awards, Bluegrass Artist of the Year Award.

Members of the group include:

Jason Jordan: When nine-year-old Jason Jordan met Bill Monroe, he got to play his mandolin, and his love for bluegrass music began. Shortly after that, Jason began playing mandolin in his first band, an all-youth band called The Parking Lot Pickers. Jason subsequently was a founding member of Just In Tyme. He started writing and arranging his own songs. Shortly after he received an invitation to join Brightwater Junction as their guitar player. Jason co-wrote the song Captain that was recorded and made popular by Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, and also wrote seven of the songs on the Route 3 debut album.

Doug Clifton: At the age of 12, Doug Clifton began playing bass at his home Church, Macedonia Freewill Baptist in
the Southwest Missouri town of Purdy. Soon after, he and best friend Brandon Rickman, along with Brandon’s brother Heath and dad, Gary, formed The Rickmans. In 2000, Doug was a part of New Reflections, winners of the S.P.B.G.M.A International Band contest in Nashville, Tennessee that year. Doug has played with multiple bands over the years including The Messengers, Breakaway, The Signature Quartet, The Kellys, The Drifters, Roaring River Sound and New Road.

Gaylon Harper: In 1986, Gaylon started learning banjo at home and attending weekend festivals with friends. It wasn't long before he was playing with a local traditional bluegrass band, Jim Orchard and The Bressler Brothers. While traveling the bluegrass circuit with them, Gaylon met the Bob Lewis Family. Shortly after, he was given the opportunity to join their
band. In 1994, Gaylon and wife, Katrina, started a group with his two brothers to form The Harpers. 2009 begin the biggest adventure with the Lord so far, when Gaylon and his family begin a full-time music ministry as The Harper Family. In 2010, The Harper Family won the S.P.B.G.M.A International Band competition. A highlight is when Crossroads Recording signed them to their Pisgah Ridge label in 2013. Gaylon came off the road and became music minister at First Baptist of Birch Tree, MO.

Roy Bond: Roy attended his first bluegrass show at the age of 12 and was instantly hooked. He soon began learning to play guitar and study music. Roy has been performing on stage since he was 13. He became a member of the Current River Opry show for the last two years of its 45 year run at the age of 14. After that, Roy became a member of Jim Orchard & The Ozark Bluegrass Boys where he stayed for 13 years. He has also done a considerable amount of fill in and part time work with many Ozark based bands including The Bressler Brothers, The Baker Family, Kirby Clark, and many more.
