Hi and welcome to the Brass on the Mind Podcast, presented by me, Tabby Kerwin.
I’ve created the podcast to bring open and honest conversations about mental health and brass bands to you, the brass band enthusiast.
Whether you are a player, conductor, band manager, judge, journalist, educator or supporter, I hope you will enjoy the honest and open conversations I have with my guests.
We all have mental health, we just don’t always like to chat about the lows as much as the highs, but with open, honest and non-judgemental chat we can help create a supportive and understanding environment in our brass band movement and ultimately help, encourage and retain our musicians.
These podcasts are full of shared experiences and stories and are recorded as un-edited conversations to make them feel like a good chat with a friend.
For more information on mental health in brass bands, head over to www.modefor.co.uk or join the Brass on the Mind Facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/brassonthemind
Together we can start the conversations about the taboo subjects, keep talking and sharing experiences for better mental health for all of us.
So please, come and join me; grab a cuppa, sit back and enjoy as we navigate through the choppy waters of mental health in brass bands with shared experiences, honest stories, thoughts and quite a few laughs!
Much Love
