Fi: Talvi oli saapunut kylmään pohjoiseen.
En: Winter had arrived in the cold north.

Fi: Järvi oli jäätynyt paksuun lumikerrokseen.
En: The lake was frozen under a thick layer of snow.

Fi: Puita oli kaikkialla, ja niiden oksat olivat raskaat lumen painosta.
En: There were trees everywhere, and their branches were heavy with the weight of snow.
