Brazil's first time in the Olympic Games took place at 1920 Olympic Games in Belgium and the first Brazilian to win a gold medal was Guilherme Paraense. Since then, Brazil has participated in all the Olympic Games except in 1928. In the Winter Olympics, Brazil debuted in 1992 in France with 7 athletes in the alpine skiing, totaling 31 participations in Olympic Games so far!

The sport of the oval ball started to grow in Brazil in 2000 with the adaptation called Beach Football. In 2008 took place the first full pad game in Brazil and nowadays we already have a brazilian tournament of american football!
