In Episode 5, we have a very engaging chat with our long-time neighbour, Mr Saeid Labbafi, the Chairman of the Kampung Gelam Alliance and a very passionate and committed member of the Kampung Gelam business community. While we have had many chats with various Kampung Gelam stakeholders, this is hands down the most inspiring and hopeful conversation we've had about our beloved neighbourhood.

Mr Saeid gave us an insightful perspective into his challenges, hopes and visions for keeping the soul of Kampung Gelam alive.

There were so many more questions we wanted to ask but we had limited time.

We do hope this episode serves as a conversation starter among our Alunan Kampung Gelam community and anyone else concerned about our historic neighbourhood, especially in the wake of the recent news coverage about exorbitant rental hikes by greedy landlords in Kampung Gelam (published after we recorded this interview).
