She, along with her sister Sarah, stood in the gap to change and reform the idea of owning slaves. It took courage and tenacity to stand against the tide of the slave movement.

Age should never be a barrier when it comes to following your dreams. Teri M. Brown came out of an abusive marriage which caused a sense of low confidence only to realize later, through a tandem bike adventure across the United States, that if she could do that she could do anything. She became a first time author at the age of 58 and has gone on to write several more books, a memoir, a short story and a relatable book about the effects of menopause on women.

The Declaration of Independence is one of America's most important documents. It was written by men who declared to England that they were willing to give their all for the freedom to live, speak and act according to the will of God. Our Founding Fathers realized that to have such freedoms required a true dedication to God and country. Please join my husband and I as we discuss the Declaration of Independence on this, our nation's 250th birthday.

Rosa Parks is well known for being one of the participants of the Montgomery Bus Boycott in Montgomery, Alabama, but she did more than just refuse to give up her seat on the bus that day. She stood with conviction and bravery in the face of adversity during a time when the color of your skin determined your status in society. Let's hope that we can eventually learn from the history of brave men and women; no matter your skin color.
