On Wednesday, 29 January, Marina Appelbaum shared the amazing news that she was once again reunited with her beloved ducky after it was stolen from her café in Fourways.

On top of having to care for her 14-year-old special needs son, Landi Mostert also lost her husband. Now, she's receiving much-needed help from Good Morning Angels. The Good Morning Angels Fund will assist Landi with the R30,000 still needed to replace Joshua's chair, as well as another R20,000 for other necessities—this is a total donation of R50,000.

A Pineslopes café owner, Marina Appelbaum, spoke to Breakfast with Martin Bester after pleading with the community for the safe return of her red decorative ducky. This specific duck was displayed outside the café, showcasing the café’s Best of Joburg Reader's Choice award. Appelbaum believes it had to be a customer or a passer-by who took the ducky after visiting the café.

Our friends at King Price Insurance are assisting the Boksburg Kidz Clinic with a donation of R80,000 to help restore and replace what is needed to support the most vulnerable children in the East Rand community. The Good Morning Angels Fund added another R50,000 donation towards the rebuilding of the Boksburg Kidz Clinic, to help them emerge stronger than ever, to benefit children in need affected by abuse.

Speaking about Cape Town's ranking as the best city in the world as ranked by Time Out, Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis joked that Cape Town's ranking is due to the Stormers' success. Martin Bester also congratulated the mayor on the city's ranking and invited him to come visit Pretoria again.
