Breaking Benjamin Drummer, Shaun Foist, Reveals The One Thing That Affects His Quality of Life

Listen Later

Today I wrap up my 4-interview concert run with Breaking Benjamin drummer, Shaun Foist.

This interview was very personal for me when it came down to who I wanted to sit and talk with.  Although I wanted to interview Ben Burnley, I was convinced by one of my radio station colleagues to interview Shaun due to a very personal post he had made about an autoimmune condition he was diagnosed with--the same one that I was diagnosed with a few years prior.

As you can see, I had a keen interest in learning more from Shaun considering the condition we share isn't something that men typically acquire.  Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's Disease is something that is more common with women than men, so it was important for me to get his take since I have always felt alone in learning about this condition on my own.

But this interview is more than just talking about our health.  Shaun and I go deeper into how he got the gig as Breaking Benjamin's drummer.  He shares the moment in which he was told he would get the gig.

I also dive deeper into Shaun's routine on the road and how it affects him while living with his condition. You will learn how he grew up and where he grew up and what that life was like.

We even dabble in some 80s musical influences too.

For me, this was a fun interview and I hope you stick around to the end to hear my thoughts on how we can live a more fulfilling life we are plagued with symptoms of fatigue, headache, pain, etc.
