DeeMarie speaks with Nashawn Stewart who was sentenced as an adult at the age of 14 and was sent to one of the most dangerous level 4 maximum prisons at age 16. He shares his family life and how it lead him to join one of the most dangerous gangs, The Hoover Criminals, his darkest moment while incarcerated, how he went from being illiterate to getting an education, how his mindset changed, and leaving the gang to living a life of amends on the outside.

DeeMarie sits down with Josh to speak about education in our public school system, why he became an educator, the school to prison pipeline, what schools are doing better to service all children and the work he is currently doing now.
