In this episode I will talk about breaking free from being numb around Society, Home and Religious beliefs:
I was raised in a SOCIETY where:
Objectification of women occurs daily.
Women hate their bodies and see them as disgusting.
Desire, pleasure and sexual expression are shamed.
Dangers and risks are taught about sexuality instead of responsibility and pleasure.
Humans walk around like zombies, following the crowd, not knowing our primal nature.
Women hate their bodies and see them as disgusting.
Desire, pleasure and sexual expression are shamed.
Dangers and risks are taught about sexuality instead of responsibility and pleasure.
Humans walk around like zombies, following the crowd, not knowing our primal nature.
I was raised in a HOME with:
Too high expectations.
Pressure to succeed.
Never able to be good enough.
Rewarded for being a good girl and following the rules.
Emotions were not allowed to be expressed.
I was raised in a RELIGION that:
Filled with judgment and rules; taught shame and guilt.
Focused on obedience and following authority.
Punished for sinning, being bad and making mistakes
Frowned upon self-pleasure and indulgence
We are separate from God
