it's my life why do you care so much. That's a common phrase addicts use to justify their addiction, the truth is your addiction is everyone's problem around you.


Your lying, cheating, stealing, fighting, hurt actions effect everyone and everything around you. You tell your parents not to care, even though you steal from them and you're their kid they love.


If you have kids they are a tool for your addiction, if you have a wife or husband you abuse and treat them like crap, plus cheat on them and lie all the time.


Real friends you gave up for addicts, and you have burned every bridge you ever built. The people you look up to are drug dealers, prostitutes, and evil people.


But you blame God and don't want anything to do with Him, and you still get mad when your friends and family won't help you.


Sound like you? I slept on the hallway floor for almost a year because I didn't know if my oldest son wanted to kill my family. That what addiction does, it puts the drug before anything, even the ones you love.

All I want for Christmas is different for kids, adults, and someone in recovery. The fun of Santa and the sleigh is over and you just want to feel okay. Most kids want gifts, some kids just want their parents others are just so hurt they don't care.


Adults it's the most stressful time of the year, and a person struggling with recovery usually feels lost, confused, and like they are worthless or can't do anything right.


We can't always count on our old ways in a new season, we may need to find new ways to receive love, peace, and joy.


My old love was lust, my old peace came from drugs, and my old joy was based on self.


Maybe my new love will be life, my new peace the word, and my new joy is my hope. My old ways burned me up and left me as ash, so I always felt burned out and left as the trash.

Change is an optional, but not required.

If you want better, it's up to you to do better.

Flip the flow, where you focus, your energy goes.

I was conformed to a toxic world, now I'm being transformed into the person God created me to be.

Transformation starts with the heart and mind.

I've been changing my inputs (what I allow in) the past couple of months, I just want to share that it has been one of the most life changing decisions I  have ever made. 

One of the most important factors to my change has been awareness, being more aware of what triggers me, and the people and things I let in my life.

I'm finding  myself  letting go of generational habits and mindsets. God says to protect our hearts and our minds, the only real way is protect  what you let in.

My heart and mind have become a service  light for my body, when something I allow in doesn't  feel  right, my heart and mind tell me.

I always protected  the wrong  things, I kept God out and let everything  else in.

Don't  wait until the world  fails you, let God in and He will protect your heart and mind.

Being aware of what we accept. Looking at life after recovery.

According to society,  you must except it and identify yourself as a problem you had during one season of your life.

A person who served prison time is considered an ex-con, but what if that was when they were a kid and now they have a good job, kids, grand kids, and a family.  Are they an ex-con or now a boss, business owner, and grandpa? 

See, we need to identify ourselves with the person God created us to be, not a problem the world sees or a label they place on us.
