In a surprising turn of events the same Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade has rejected Kim Davis' case to consider overturning same-sex marriage in Obergefell v. Hodges. This is worth celebrating!
This Week's Top Story
People Centered Policies Win BIG on Election Day
Turn the volume up! Zohran Mamdani is New York's 111th mayor. Mamdani's win is huge for a myriad of reasons as he is New York's first Muslim and South Asian Mayor and he's one of the youngest at just 34 years old. Several other states have wins locally including New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. These wins also tell us people on all sides are fed-up with the current administration.
This Week In Politics
Trump Commutes Disgraced Former Representative George Santos
Trump commuted the former representative on Friday writing on his social media "George Santos was somewhat of a 'rogue,' but there are many rogues throughout our Country that aren't forced to serve seven years in prison".
This Week In Entertainment and Culture
The Netherlands Elect Its Youngest and First Openly Gay Prime Minister
Rob Jetten, 38 years old, of the D66 party narrowly beat his opponent Geert Wilders in the Dutch election. Jetten's next challenge is to build a coalition that can help him claim enough seats to overtake the House of Parliament.
GLAAD Kicks Off HBCU HIV Tour with Snoop Dogg
GLAAD's HBCU Tour launched with a surprise fireside chat featuring Snoop Dogg, an event that immediately drew mixed reactions from the Black and Queer communities; GLAAD addresses this controversy, confirming they held Snoop accountable and that he came on his own dime to convey his heart to the students.
