In our latest Do We Recommend, we take a look at two important late works from two genuine American masters. "Killers of the Flower Moon" is Martin Scorsese's epic drama about the 1921 Osage murders in Oklahoma, told with a searing human angle. "The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial" is the last film by the late William Friedkin which is a master class in sustaining tension in a space with magnificent actors. These two films are also powerful explorations of American history and human psychology.

In the premiere episode of Breaking the Convo, we present the recent Q&A we hosted with newcomer director Bishal Dutta, at a screening of his feature debut, "It Lives Inside," a horror thriller with an Indian-American perspective. The discussion took place at Dutta's alma mater, Santa Monica College, where he began his career as a student in the college's acclaimed film program.
