In this episode, Scott chats with David, who joined the police department back in 1988. For the first 6-7 years, he worked patrol, then moved on to SWAT, Internal Affairs, Gangs, Robbery, and Sex Crimes before getting involved in management, which eventually led to his current position as Chief of Police. He discusses the stresses on his force brought on by the COVID 19 pandemic and drug and alcohol abuse issues. The death of George Floyd in Minneapolis has seen his officers being under extra stress, but at the same time, inrollment in the force has risen. David is on call seven days a week and approaches his duties with a passion.
