Breaking through the Silence | Beyond Bethlehem

Listen Later

Silence can feel personal. When God doesn’t seem to speak, it’s easy to wonder if He’s distant—or disappointed. Luke 1 reminds us that God’s silence is never the “silent treatment.” It’s often the space where He’s working, preparing, and getting ready to have the final word.

In Luke 1:5–25, we meet Zechariah, a faithful priest living with unanswered prayers. In the middle of his ordinary service—and his deepest struggle—God speaks directly into his pain. This passage shows us how God works through everyday faithfulness, why silence doesn’t deny reality, and how Christmas proves God always breaks through at just the right time.
