After getting his start in technology sales, Jon Selig thought he’d give stand up comedy a try. What evolved was a teacher/comedian who now trains salespeople how to get a laugh and be memorable on their sales calls. His advice is relevant to professional networking. In this interview, we learn that jokes do indeed have formulas, and really, anyone can be funny if they know how to dissect the material. The little-known secret of comedy is that once you find a great joke you can use it over and over again. Jon inspires us to be creative with our stories looking for opportunities in the narrative to insert a punchline and thus punch up our first impressions as well as make meeting new people easier.
