In this episode, Molly shares her thoughtful advice and stories about what she calls her love language: fundraising. She gives not only practical steps from the “ask” to the “thank you”, but also perspective on inviting donors to be a part of the overall experience… It’s about doing it together.
I promise that you’ll leave inspired and charged to take that next step in fundraising whatever that may be… all along knowing that you are making a difference in the world!
A bit more about Molly: Molly Fast found the peer-to-peer fundraising space after her own mother's breast cancer diagnosis in 1999 led her sister Kara to participate in the Breast Cancer 3-Day. She became a participant in that event too and then it became her job. For more than 20 years, Molly has been using fundraising as a way to lead, connect and inspire those around her. After her father died of esophageal cancer in 2004 at the age of 55, Molly turned her personal fundraising attention to raising money for rare cancer. Through her participation in Cycle for Survival, she's raised more than $330,000 in the past 10 years. She also serves on the board of Girls on the Run of Los Angeles. And loves to play the role of personal fundraising coach and cheerleader to all her friends and family who fundraise for all the causes that mean so much to them. When Molly isn't teaching people about her love language (fundraising), you can find her wandering around her home-away-from home in Ireland.
