Pia and Breanne believe that therapy is essential to healthy living, and useful for overcoming the difficult and not so difficult moments in life.  Pia and Breanne welcomed the opportunity to talk with Marriage and Family Therapist Saudia Turney, about the need for therapy during one of the most  overwhelming times in a woman's life.  Many women lack both an understanding of the changes that occur to the body after pregnancy, and a support system who is equally understanding.  Saudia helps to put this stage into perspective and shares wonderful advice throughout the episode.

Pia and Breanne discuss the latest uproar in Houston Independent School District.  The Principal at James Madison High School instituted a dress code after turning away a parent who arrived at the school wearing a nightshirt, headscarf, and flip flops.

Pia and Breanne who love to discuss anything related to education talk with home school mom Hanya Sustache.  Hanya, a Brown University graduate, entered college with plans to study attend medical school, before realizing that education was her passion.  Hanya taught in both public and charter schools until the birth of her first child, when she began to question if she would return to the classroom.

Pia and Breanne talk with Tracey Ledoux, an Assistant Professor in the Health and Human Performance Department at the University of Houston. Tracey's research interests include body intake, obesity, and eating habits.  Currently Tracey is conducting research to identify effective means of support for low income families as they implement changes to their diet and physical fitness regime.   This award winning professor sat down with us to discuss her latest research in addition to helping children develop healthy eating habits.
