In this episode, Corette & Jill talk to Rish Velji-Johnston. Rish is a seasoned corporate professional who is a Client Advocate & technology professional at Royal Bank of Canada.  She has recently launched a Kulfi (Indian Ice Cream) business, Ali & Co. Kulfi, as a way to keep her father’s legacy alive for this love of making Kulfi for others.  

She is a proud mama to 3 children, Brittany, Gordie & Aris, sister to her brother, Rizwan and wife to her husband, Michael, both of whom have provided unwavering support throughout her own journey.  

Rish is also a passionate advocate and committed to making a difference in the cancer community by helping to empower women to be an advocate for their own health and be aware of their bodies.  

Rish shares with our listeners, her personal grief journey and how it took years to overcome ultimately laying the foundation for her own personal breast cancer journey at the young age of 37.
