Paul gives us four steps to remove limitations and trash thinking, 1. Make a choice, 2. Have a 'can do' attitude, 3. Develop healthy thinking and 4. Put in healthy habits.

Mark Ritchie - preacher, leader and comedian - was our guest speaker during our online service on Sunday 7th June and he delivered a superb message on freedom. Mark has been performing his one-man shows for the past twenty years and has visited Breathe numerous times to preach and to perform comedy. To mark Pentecost Sunday, Sara Jukes preached a message on Acts 2, in which the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples in great power. There is power in the waiting, power in the Holy Spirit and there is power in us!

Following a recent message on thankfulness, Senior Pastor Paul Jukes brought a follow-up message on mercifulness on Sunday 24th May. Using a passage from Matthew 8:1-4, in which a man is healed of leprosy, Paul talks about how God has been merciful to us and how we should be merciful to other people.

In this message, Ben looks at two accounts in Matthew and John in which Jesus talks about the temple being destroyed and being rebuilt three days later. Perhaps Jesus is doing something new in the church and in our lives during this lockdown season and He is brick-by-brick rebuilding something in our lives. We're asking questions of the government and of God about when and how the lockdown is going to be lifted. Perhaps God is doing something different; perhaps God is turning the question back to us and asking us how we are going to lift our own lockdown and come out the other side better than when we came in.

In the Passion Translation, it says in Hebrews 10:25 that, "This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together." How do we outwork this instruction during a global pandemic in which we are all required to stay at home under lockdown? This message from Ben Hodgson looks at ways that we can continue to motivate one another to love and good deeds, continue to meet together as a church and continue to be reminded that Jesus is coming back again. This is our time!

On Sunday 3rd May, Sara Jukes shared an important message on being together, particularly significant during this period of lockdown and self-isolation. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says, "Two are better than one" and "A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Sara talked about how focusing on other people - the two - can help us to see the bigger picture and accomplish more together. The third and most important strand is God. Let God be your plus one: He is absent in body but with us in spirit.

Using a powerful passage in Luke 17, Paul Jukes shares about the incredible benefits of being thankful and how to cultivate an attitude of gratitude, e.g. by focusing on what we have, not comparing, prayer, examine our thoughts and agreeing with God in faith.
