Brendan Cowell is a master storyteller. I skill that’s shown its face in his acting, directing, plays, tv-series, books, and poetry. He caught up with Mia to discuss his new novel ‘Plum’, which chronicles the life of an ex-NRL player with a brain injury and a love for poetry. ‘Plum’ is one of the many stories Brendan has put his name to over years, and his life bares striking similarities to the story's protagonist Peter Lum.

In this interview Brendan talks about growing up in Cronulla; his entry into acting and his love of Cornflakes; the grunge era; where he draws his stories from and how that’s changed over the years; the catering on the set of the Avatar sequel; and what the past two years of lockdown have meant for him.
