  • Robinhood's Credit Card Just Got Even Better (Somehow)

In someways, I hate to say it, but this is the best credit card I've ever used and it just got better. The only problem is the card is hard to get because you have to be on the waitlist for so long.

  • Acorns Investing Returns: Mistake or Genius?

Acorns investing is a streamlined way to invest.  I've recommended it to tons of new investors including my family members. But my account is down 23% since I've started investing.  Is this a massive mistake? Am I a fool for using this service? And should I just be picking my own investments instead? Let's talk about it today.

  • Growth through difficulty
More of the “why” behind the crazy goal I’ve chosen: running an ultramarathon. People historically have proven to be innovative, resilient, and strong and yet I feel that I have not developed in those ways very much. Let’s change that.

  • First Ultramarathon: An absurd goal
Running an ultra for the first time is stupid. To anyone with a logical viewpoint at least. There is no objectively valuable reason to do such a thing. But I’ve chosen to do it. This is the big hairy audacious goal for 2021. Here’s my history with long running and plan for running a 50k.

  • Running 1 Mile in My Kitchen + A Proper Introduction!
Last night I ran a mile in my kitchen as part of the 30 day Challenge of running 1 mile per day! It was silly and somewhat difficult and worthwhile! Also in this episode I give a proper introduction to Brendan Fitness and Money and outline all the places it can be found!

  • Grand Canyon Hiking/Running Tips!
If you or a friend are planning to hike or run in the Grand Canyon, listen to these tips first! One of the most popular adventures in the Grand Canyon is traveling from one side to the other. This is appropriately named: “Rim to Rim” because you are going from one edge of the canyon to the other. The trek from one side of the Grand Canyon to the other is a massive effort but is one of the most incredible things you can do on foot! It is totally worth it, but you need to be prepared and wise to make sure you have a fun and safe time.
    Timeline:
    1. Running 1 mile today
    2. Experience is best!
    3. "When" you go matters
    4. Call the Backcountry office
    5. Study maps and trail guides
    6. Start your day early
    7. Consider N-to-S If you prefer a video version or would like to watch other Grand Canyon and running related content, check out my YouTube channel here: (Day 23): Grand Canyon Hiking Tips! https://youtu.be/e-CMa-7mF2Q

  • 9 Steps to Financial Freedom
These 9 steps are my recommendation for a path to follow to real financial security, freedom, and complete independence! There are a few different schools of thought out there about how to reach financial independence. The most popular is probably Dave Ramsey’s “Baby Steps”. It’s actually surprising to me that more people aren’t talking about ways to become financially sound. Generally, financial topics of conversation seem to revolve around only 2 areas: wishing they could making more money or how they just spent money. We aren’t helping each other with these topics generally. Instead, I want to share more specific strategies about how to plan ahead and achieve financial security, independence, and mastery!
