Stacy's Dad interrupts Thad and Stacy in a sweet moment, after which he decides to give Thad another dating lecture. Stacy finds out even more about what a wonderful guy Thad is. Stacy's dad and her friends throw her a surprise party, but the actual surprise is something that will completely change Stacy's future.

Stacy's friends try to make up for leaving her out the previous night, but they all insist that Thad should be the one to tell her why. Thad and Stacy skateboard to a private spot where Thad spills the news, and it is not what Stacy expects.

Stacy finds out her friends are having a party without her. She has an appalling conversation with Jace. Her fury drives her to escape in the middle of the night on her skateboard.

Coming up on the end of summer, Stacy's friends begin acting very strange and refuse to invite Thad to a party and will not explain to Stacy the reason for doing so. Several girls clamour for Thad's attention at the pool, and Thad gets angry at Stacy when she claims his life is perfect.

Stacy attends Thad's wakeboarding practice, and she is floored by what she sees. She meets Thad's family, who appears to be picture-perfect. Stacy and Thad go on a hike where they both seem to have the same strong feelings for each other.

Stacy tries out for the swim team. Ashley flirts big time with Thad at the pool. Stacy's dad interrogates Thad when he thinks he is dating his daughter. Stacy gets angry and finally spills to her dad why she is so upset with him. They finally have a heart to heart and her dad confides in Stacy the real reason her mom wanted her to come live with him.

Stacy goes rock climbing with Bryce and Conner. They have a surprise visit from Thad. Stacy ends up spilling all the drama with her dad to Krissy.

Stacy finally gets up on a wakeboard and discovers her new friends are better than her old ones.
