Today we’re talking about culture! How do you maintain culture when you’re working from home? Today’s guest knows how to navigate this delicate space and has some answers for you! It’s not as difficult as you think it might be! Brett Putter is an expert in company culture development who is consulted by companies and leaders worldwide to help design, develop, and build high-performing cultures. He is the CEO of CultureGene, a culture leadership software and services platform. Brett is also the author of his second book, Own Your Culture, a blueprint to building strong, functional post-pandemic company culture.  Brett was running an executive search firm and a common theme he found in his high-level executives was that they had a very deep and strong understanding on the value of culture. It was the key difference between having a high retention rate vs. losing ¾ of your leadership team.   A common problem with creating values is that it ends up just being words that people forget or don’t know how to live by. You want to teach your people what it looks like on an organizational level to live and work within your company values.  A good leader has a keen eye on seeing when their staff is acting within the company values, and if they’re not, quickly reacting to correct bad behavior. Other members of your team are watching you, so it’s important that you lead by example.   Interview Links: Sponsored by: Sweetprocess.com Culturegene.ai Brett on LinkedIn   Resources: Scaling Up Workshop: Interested in attending one of our workshops? You really got to work on your culture as an asset in the business.”   “A leader is good at spotting that you’re not living the values, and taking action to solve that.”   “Great leaders make their culture more visible, tangible, and conscious. They’re talking about it and evaluating their decisions based on it.”   Did you enjoy today’s episode? If so, then head over to iTunes and leave a review.
