The gospel preacher is called by God to herald the good news of God which is the message of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus called his disciples and He sent them out, they were instructed not to take a full case of luggage. They were to travel light.

Destruction from within oftentimes goes unnoticed until it is too late. The example of the fall of the Roman Empire is a good case study.

There are those who do the work and there are those who critique and criticize. But who are the critics? Do you remember the names of the critics through history or do you remember the names of those who accomplished things?

The Finnish composer, John Sibelius remarked "Remember, a statue has never been set up in honor of a critic."

Isaiah the prophet tells Hezekiah(Isaiah 39) that calamity and judgment will not come in his lifetime. This pleases Hezekiah who says this word is good.

The psalmist says that his delight is in the word of the Lord. We, too, should read and meditate on God's word.
