The prophets(watchdogs) have become silent. The word of the Lord speaks of this in Isaiah 56:10.

We have our super heroes - Superman, Spiderman, Batman...However, these are all fictional characters. There is a man whose life stands out. He seems to be "full" as the Scripture describes his life in the book of Acts.

The Transcendence and Immanence of God.

In 2 Kings 5, we see a couple of twins that are always together.

You are not to add Jesus to your life as an enhancer, like a supplement. He gives us new life. We are dead in our trespasses and sins.

2 Corinthians 11 warns us of the false narratives that face believers. We must be wise and discerning in matters of the faith.

Sit down in this Old Testament story and feel the fear, hear the taunting, and see the formidable opponent that the people of God  faced.

Law identifies and shows us our problem. Grace takes out our old sinful heart of flesh and gives us a new one.
