Recently, Tyler was asked to give a sermon at the Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church. The sermon was on Colossians 2:4-19. Specifically, this message was geared towards exposing what Paul meant by "philosophy" and how using it and being engaged in it is not antithetical to the Christian life.

Tyler is currently reading Biblical Critical Theory by Christopher Watkin. The chapter on Sin and Autonomy got him thinking about how the Image of God played a role in societal critique. As he sips on a bit of coffee while discussing how the Image of God relates to the doctrine of sin, the doctrine of judgment, and society, Tyler expresses some insights that can be drawn.

There are some really well-used terms in Christianity that can mean different things based on the context. Tyler takes time to discuss and define some of these key terms related to the Image of God discussion.

Welcome to 2022! Tyler took some time to really hash out some of what the imago dei is in this episode. While sipping on a Switchback Brewing's Amber Ale from Burlington, Vermont, he dives into what he calls the economic imago dei. At just under 40 minutes, there is a lot there to unpack to hopefully launch you into a deeper dive into what you believe and why.

This episode from a sermon Tyler did at his home church. Together they explored the idea of what it means to be a properly functioning image bearer. Tyler for this episode will not be cracking a cold one with you. He is recovering from COVID at the time of recording the introduction so in the interest of recovering fully, a beer was spared for another time. 

Since it has been a while since Tyler has published a podcast, he wanted to give you an update on life as well as ministry. Oktoberfest season is approaching so that is what Tyler reviewed this time. New Trail's Oktoberfest had just released the weekend before and was worth sharing with you. This episode also is the beginning of a series of podcasts about the Image of God and Proper Functionality.

Tyler takes the last dive into the resurrection for the series of pints and trip through the Charlotte North Carolina breweries. Today he reviews Sycamore Brewing's Dime Bag Triple IPA. Unfortunately, he had to re-record this episode due to his lack of acumen so he also reviews Sugar Creek Brewing's Big O which is a blood orange IPA.

In the episode, the last part of the historical section of the resurrection and some alternate hypotheses are discussed. The big question to ask is, "What makes the most sense of the evidence presented?"
