Episode Description:

On this episode of Brewin' Black, we talk sports. Though some like Hubert Davis may shuck and jive with words, Kendall Cooper joins this episode to reminds us why athletes, especially women, must never "Shut up and Dribble".  Kendall gives a first-hand account of the unequal treatment of women in sports. She leaves us some actions we all can take to begin to rectify this injustice.  We also cover the controversy with Deshaun Watson and why it's important. Finally, we use some relevant social media situations that broke the internet to discuss why it's important to reflect on how we talk to each other. 

Episode description:  Just in time for Easter, we are joined this episode by Minster Jason Oliver Evans as he shares his journey and experience as a queer man in Christianity. Offering his insight on the Lil Nas X controversy,  Minster Evans challenges the church to let go of homophobia and white symbolism. We also discuss our need to redefine abuse & discuss signs of toxic relationships by looking at the Saweetie & Quavo video. In remembering George Floyd, we briefly share our thoughts and feelings about the Derek Chavin trial.
