Brews with Bear

Continuing our trend of summer memories and favorites, Aslin Beer Co makes a splash with Baby Shark IPA and Fancy Sauce maple bacon s'mores stout... Sharks and S'mores screams summer in New England!  

The first of my beers brought back from Chi Town.  A couple of *Jus* bombs. Featured Beers: Le Jus - Alarmist Brewing & Juice Island - Collab b/w Alarmist and Goose Island Brewing. 

A spotlight episode on all things New England - particularly Rhode Island! Beers include two from Twelve Guns Brewery.  Recorded in February, so don't worry when I say I got the beers for Christmas.  Back on the regular posting of episodes weekly. A good beer travels you through time - and these beers take us back to early American history as well as high school math class.

I'm joined by Derek Sheldon of Kō Hana Rum Distillers from Oahu, HI.  We discuss barrel aged beers, how rum is made, working on a sugarcane farm, how rum and beer make great partners, in addition to reminiscing of how we became beer lovers from back in our Miami days especially those nights spend at the Wetlab.
