Chris Powell, Reporter for the Journal Inquirer, discusses a group called “Moral Mondays” and the ways in which they protest within the city of Hartford. What do they articulate? Samuel Mitcham, author of numerous books on the history of the Civil War and World War II, visiting professor at West Point and Vietnam War veteran, discusses his latest book “Vicksburg: The Bloody Siege that Turned the Tide of the Civil War.” The book covers General John C. Pemberton’s impact on the Battle of Vicksburg as a native of Pennsylvania turned Confederate sympathizer. The book also includes untold stories about the overall history of the Civil War, such as how Elizabeth Meade Ingraham owner of a plantation in Mississippi was the sister of General George G. Meade, the Union Commander at Gettysburg.
