Condemnation is a powerful word… a depressing word, a hope killing word. It doesn’t help that the world is a condemning place in which to live in, full of condemning voices and messages. The truth is that our own past… our sin, our mistakes, past trauma, can be a condemning place as well. This is not how God wants us to live our lives.

Guilt and Shame exist but God doesn’t want us to live in it nor does God ever use it as a tool. Rather, it is a tool of the enemy.

When we talk about doubt in Biblical terms we are talking about a doubt caused by fear or great disappointment/sorrow… wounds. We all doubt God at times, we all struggle with faith… means we’re human, not sinful.

There is no comfortable way to talk about sin and I think that’s a good thing. But we do NEED to talk about sin… in a way that brings life, growth and freedom. Especially when we discuss our wounds and the possible connection to sin.
