Bridge Church Fredericksburg - Sermons

This week, Pastor Brian Mandel shared a one-off message titled “Baggage.”

We all carry things—past experiences, regrets, expectations, wounds, and burdens that quietly shape how we live and relate to God. In this message, we’re invited to examine what we’ve been holding onto and consider what it looks like to lay it down at the feet of Christ.

“Baggage” reminds us that Jesus doesn’t call us to carry our weight alone. He meets us in our struggles, offers freedom where we feel stuck, and invites us into a lighter, grace-filled way of living.

If you’ve ever felt weighed down, this message is a gentle reminder that you don’t have to keep carrying what God is asking you to release.

We’re continuing our Rooted series with a message titled “Treasure Hunters,” taught by Pastor Brian Mandel from Colossians 2:1–5.

In this passage, Paul encourages believers to pursue true spiritual riches—wisdom, understanding, and unity found in Christ. Rather than being distracted by lesser treasures, we’re invited to grow deeper in our knowledge of Jesus, where the fullness of God’s wisdom is revealed.

This message reminds us that when our hearts are encouraged and our lives are rooted in Christ, we are strengthened to stand firm, connected in love, and anchored in truth.

We’re continuing our Rooted series with a message titled “Inside Out,” taught by Pastor Jimmy Pruitt from Colossians 1:21–29.

In this passage, Paul reminds us that the gospel doesn’t just change our behavior—it transforms us from the inside out. Once separated and alienated from God, we are now reconciled through Christ, called to live from a renewed identity rooted in Him.

This message challenges us to look beyond surface-level faith and allow Christ to work deeply in our hearts, shaping our character, purpose, and perseverance. When we stay rooted in Jesus, transformation flows outward into every area of life.

We’re continuing our Rooted series this week with a message titled “Keep It Simple Saint (K.I.S.S.)” from Colossians 1:9–18, taught by Pastor Brian Mandel.

In this passage, Paul reminds us that spiritual maturity doesn’t come from overcomplicating faith, but from staying centered on what matters most—Jesus. When we keep our focus on who Christ is, what He has done, and how He holds all things together, our lives remain grounded, steady, and fruitful.

This week, Pastor Jimmy Pruitt began a new series through the book of Colossians titled Rooted, starting with the message “From Root to Fruit.”

In Colossians 1:1–8, we’re reminded that a healthy life of faith begins beneath the surface. Before fruit is visible, roots must be deep. Paul’s opening words point us to the power of the gospel at work—growing, bearing fruit, and shaping lives grounded in Christ.

This message invites us to examine what we’re rooted in, how the gospel takes hold in our hearts, and what kind of fruit naturally grows from a life anchored in Jesus. As we remain rooted in truth, hope, and grace, transformation follows.

This week’s message was more than a sermon—it was worship itself.

In “Saturated & Sent: The Heart of Worship,” Pastor Jimmy Pruitt leads us through a service centered entirely on praise, reflection, and response. Rather than a traditional sermon, worship filled the room, with brief moments of teaching reminding us why we worship and how worship shapes our lives.

Rooted in Psalm 22:3, this message explores how worship begins with revelation, flows through surrender, welcomes God’s presence, shifts atmospheres, transforms hearts, and ultimately sends us out to live what we sing. Worship is not performance—it’s offering God the best He’s given us and allowing that offering to change us.

If you’re longing to be refreshed in God’s presence and reminded of the power of worship, this message invites you to fix your heart on who He is and respond.

As the year comes to a close, it’s tempting to slow down, check out, or simply coast to the finish line. But Scripture calls us to something better.

In “Finishing Strong,” Pastor Jimmy Pruitt reminds us that how we finish matters just as much as how we start. This message encourages us to stay faithful, stay focused, and stay obedient in the final stretch, trusting that God is still working, even at the end of the season.

Whether this year has been full of victories or challenges, this message will help you close it with purpose, perseverance, and faith.

Christmas is more than a season. It’s an invitation.

As we conclude our Home for Christmas series with “Welcome Home,” Pastor Jimmy Pruitt reminds us that no matter how far we’ve wandered, how long we’ve been gone, or what we’ve walked through, God’s heart has always been to welcome us home.

This Christmas Eve message points us to the hope, grace, and restoration found in Jesus, and the truth that home isn’t a place we earn, it’s a place we’re invited into.

Whether you’ve felt close to God or far away, this message is for you. Welcome home.

In Part 2 of our Home for Christmas series, Pastor Jimmy Pruitt turns our attention to the often-overlooked figure in the story of the prodigal son: the elder brother.

This message challenges us to examine our own hearts and ask whether we are truly ready to receive prodigals with grace, humility, and love. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, we’re reminded that the Father’s house is meant to be a place of restoration, celebration, and open arms.

This sermon invites us to move beyond duty and into compassion, creating space where those who are coming home can be fully welcomed.
