In this week’s teaching we see a connection between an unrepentant harlot, Cosby, who is defiling the Tent of Meeting with her lover, Zimri and a repentant harlot, (Matthew 26) who lavishly poured out her love with perfume and tears. We see in the first case, that Abba deals with the unrepentant harlot with swift and sudden judgment, as Phinehas rises up and deals with this sexual immorality being done at the door of the Tent of Meeting. However, with the repentant harlot, because she had made teshuva, we see the response of Yeshua: amazing grace, mercy, compassion and love for her.
We saw the passion Phinehas to cleanse the temple of the literal idolatry and adultery that was taking place at the door of the temple. We see a similar passion rise up when Yeshua cleansed the temple of the money changers. Phinehas is a remez hint, and a shadow picture of Yeshua, that zeal for the Father’s house consumes him.
How can we become more like the woman who lavishly poured out all the perfume upon Yeshua’s feet? Listen and find out!
