Esau is the father of the Edomites.

Who are the Edomites that we are facing today? It is important to know and understand your enemy.

In the end of days, the seed of Esau will be like stubble, and the seed of Jacob will be flame.

There is a measure for measure principle at work here.

Yahweh says to the Edomites: I will give you over to bloodshed and it will pursue you, since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you.

Yahweh will mete out a perfect justice and judgment upon the Edomites.

We are told to return to the God of Israel, to love mercy and to walk justly before Him. This is the “weightier matter” for this week.
