Have you ever had to deal with an “Esau like” person in your life, a wolf in sheep’s clothing? Jacob had to endure this all his life in growing up with Esau, who had a heart of hatred toward him. A threat of murder was put on his life. What did Jacob do? He put distance between himself and Esau. He planted himself in a new place and got a fresh start. Esau is a cunning hunter: they hide in the grass and wait to strike on their prey.

Yahweh says: “Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated.” Why?

Yahweh calls the descendants of Esau (the Edomites): the people with whom He is enraged forever. Why?

Yahweh says: “I shall favor whomever I favor and I shall have compassion on whomever I have compassion.” What does this mean?

There will be an end of days conflict/struggle between the spirit and descendants of Esau and the spirit and descendants of Jacob.

How are they similar?

How are they different?

Both came away from the well completely changed.

Both came away betrothed to Yeshua.

We are called to worship Yeshua in spirit and in truth.

How do we do that?

Abba is calling each one of us to have a divine encounter with Him and to drink from the wells of living water and salvation.

On the 9th of Av of 5778 (July23, 2018) a small but faithful group of women gathered to have a solemn assembly time of repentance prayer on a phone conference call. They had just read through The List, a 42 page document that lists out the many atrocities, crimes, abuses, slaughters, and murders committed against the Jewish people by the Christian church forefathers over the last several centuries. The weight and enormity of these horrible events was heavy on their hearts. And so, the prayer team took this scripture to heart:

If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; and I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. Leviticus 26:40-42

They made a decision to “own” the sin of their church fathers and they decided to confess and repent of the sins of their “church” forefathers. The spirit fell upon their hearts and there was open weeping during their repentance prayer time as their hearts broke over these many sins.

The audio you are about to hear is a “debriefing” session (recorded on 8.9.18) that this group had. They wanted to discuss the following: How did reading and repenting through The LIST affect you? How did it reveal the heart of God to you? How was your own heart moved? How did it change you? The two co-authors of the The List, Bob O’Dell and Ray Montgomery joined with them in this debriefing session.
