  • Why Believing in Jesus Is More Than a One-Time Decision

Believing in Jesus is more than a one-time decision—it's the beginning of a lifelong journey of growing in trust. In week two of our Closer to God series, we explore the honest prayer, "I believe; help my unbelief," and discover that God invites us to keep bringing every part of our lives to Him.

Through Scripture and a powerful testimony from members of the BridgePoint family, this message reminds us that faith grows as we continue saying yes to Jesus and place ourselves among His people, where He is at work.

    Questions for Reflection:

    • Where is Jesus inviting you to trust Him more deeply today?

    • What next step could help you continue growing in your belief and relationship with Him?

  • An Actual, Proximate Relationship

Pastor Tyler’s message challenges us to move beyond simply being near God to having an actual, relational closeness with Him. What we believe about God shapes our values, fears, hope, relationships, purpose, and how we respond to life. The message calls us out of “cruise control” Christianity and into an intentional pursuit of God through His Word, honest reflection, community, obedience, and genuine relationship with Him. Ultimately, our deepest longings are satisfied not by control, success, money, relationships, or circumstances, but by closeness with God.

    Reflective Questions:

    1)     What do I actually believe about God—and how is that belief shaping the way I live, especially when life is difficult?

    2)     Have I allowed my relationship with God to go on “cruise control,” and what would it look like for me to intentionally pursue Him again?

    3)     Who is helping me grow closer to God, and who am I intentionally helping become closer to Him?

  • What Changes When Jesus Has Authority?

The crowds were astonished by Jesus because He didn’t simply teach about truth—He spoke with authority. In this message, Pastor Tyler explores what it means that Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth, and how that truth should shape the way we live.

When we stop relying on our own strength and begin trusting the authority of the King, we can face fear, uncertainty, relationships, and our purpose with greater courage and confidence. Jesus doesn’t send us out alone, He calls us to go in His authority and promises to be with us.

    Questions for Reflection:

    • Where are you relying on your own strength instead of trusting Jesus’ authority?

    • What might change in your life if you lived with greater confidence in the authority of the King?

  • Healing and Restoration

This message focuses on God's ultimate plan of healing, restoration, and renewal rather than destruction. Preaching from the closing chapters of Revelation, Brad Curtis, Downtown Campus Lead Pastor, explains that God's purpose has always been to restore His creation—not abandon it. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells the story of a God who continually moves toward broken people and a broken world, bringing healing, hope, and new life. In the end, God makes "all things new," dwelling with His people forever, where pain, sorrow, and death are no more. Followers of Christ are called to live as "new creation people" today, reflecting God's restoring work while looking forward to the day when His kingdom is fully realized.

    Reflective Questions

    1.    This message series has an image of water in a desert. What aspects of your life need to be restored by God’s water?

    2.    What does the phrase, “The Going God” mean to you?

    3.    Has this message series presented a new way to think about the Book of Revelation?

  • The Victorious Lamb

This message explores how the book of Revelation presents victory—not through violence or earthly power, but through the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ. Using the imagery of Armageddon and Revelation 19, the sermon emphasizes that Jesus conquers through the cross and resurrection, and His followers are called to reflect that same victory by faithfully proclaiming the gospel, loving their enemies, and living differently from the values of the world.

    Reflective Questions

    1.    In what areas of my life am I relying on the world's definition of victory instead of following Jesus' example of sacrificial love?

    2.    How can I intentionally demonstrate the victory of Christ through my words, actions, and treatment of those who oppose or disagree with me?

    3.    What "powers" or influences compete for my loyalty, and how can I more fully live as a faithful witness to King Jesus this week?

  • Evil Doesn't Get the Last Word

When you hear the word judgment, what comes to mind? For many people, it brings feelings of fear or uncertainty. But Revelation paints a different picture. God's judgment is not the opposite of His love, it is the fulfillment of it. Because God loves His creation, He will not allow sin, evil, and suffering to have the final word.

In week five of our Revelation series, we explore Revelation 14 and discover that before final judgment comes, God extends mercy and calls people everywhere to turn to Him. Through the message of the gospel, He invites us to remain faithful, endure through life's challenges, and place our hope in Jesus, the Lamb who has already conquered sin and death. The promise of Revelation is not simply that judgment is coming, but that one day evil will be defeated, every tear will be wiped away, and God's good creation will be fully restored.

    Questions for Reflection:

    • How does seeing God's judgment as an expression of His love and justice change the way you think about His character?

    • Where is God calling you to endure faithfully, trusting that evil doesn't get the last word?

  • The Battle for Your Allegiance

In week four of our Revelation series, we look at Revelation 12–13 and the vivid images of the dragon and the two beasts. These chapters reveal that there is a real battle for our allegiance. Satan stands opposed to God and His people, using worldly powers, deceptive voices, and false promises of peace, security, and belonging to pull our worship away from Jesus.

But Revelation does not show us this so we will live in fear. It reminds us that God is sovereign, the Lamb has already overcome, and followers of Jesus can stand with confidence. As we learn to recognize the voices that compete for our allegiance, we are called to know the voice of the Good Shepherd and worship Him alone.

    Questions for Reflection:

    • What voices, systems, or promises are most likely to compete for your allegiance to Jesus?

    • How can you grow in recognizing the voice of the Good Shepherd over the voices that pull you away from Him?

  • Who We Worship Shapes Who We Are

Who we worship shapes who we are. John's vision of heaven reveals God on the throne, surrounded by continual worship. When no one is found worthy to open God's scroll of judgment, Jesus appears as both the conquering Lion of Judah and the slain Lamb. Through His sacrificial death and resurrection, Christ has already defeated sin and evil. As followers of Jesus, we are called to worship Him with our whole lives, reflecting His love, humility, and self-sacrifice in the world.

    Reflection Questions:

    1.     What competes most for your attention, trust, and worship in everyday life?

    2.     How does seeing Jesus as the victorious Lamb challenge your understanding of power and success?

    3.     In what practical way can you reflect Christ's sacrificial love to someone this week?

    34 min
  • What Does Faithfulness Look Like Today?

If God knows we aren't perfect, what does He actually expect from us?

In week two of our Revelation series, we explore Jesus' messages to the seven churches and discover a challenge that is just as relevant today as it was in the first century. While each church faced different circumstances, they all wrestled with the same temptation: compromising their faith by allowing other loyalties, beliefs, and priorities to compete with their devotion to Jesus.

Through these messages, we learn that God is not looking for perfection from His people. He is cultivating faithfulness. As followers of Jesus, we are called to remain faithful in what we believe, how we live, and how we embody the hope of God's kingdom in a world filled with competing voices and allegiances.

    Questions for Reflection:

    • What competing influences or loyalties are most likely to distract you from wholehearted devotion to Jesus?

    • What would it look like for you to practice "enacted hope" this week by living today in light of God's future restoration?

    34 min
  • Seeing Revelation Clearly

When most people think about Revelation, they think about end-times predictions, mysterious symbols, and trying to decode the future. But what if we've been asking the wrong questions?

In the opening message of our Revelation series, we clear away some of the common misconceptions surrounding this often-misunderstood book and discover that Revelation is first and foremost a revelation of Jesus Christ. Rather than fueling fear or speculation, Revelation was written to inspire hope, faithful living, and trust in the One who rules and reigns over all things.

As we begin this journey through Revelation, we learn that the end of the story only matters if it changes how we live today.
