James, Jesus’ half brother, wrote the book of James in the early 40s A.D. to scattered early Jesus followers. In the first message of the series Called Out. Called Toward. and Called Up, Tyler teaches from James 1 and answers the question, “How do we live out our faith when life gets tough and why does it matter?”

We’ve spent the last 4 weeks talking about our mission- helping people -all people - get closer to God. In today’s message, Travis teaches how we are to go about fulfilling this mission.

How much of a difference would it make in this conflicted world if we were all we are rooted in love? We could look past all the stuff of this world and see people. We exist to help people, all people, get closer to God... That first part of our mission statement is who we are. We are a helping people. In fact, we won't fully find joy unless we are helping others. In this second message of Welcome Home, Tyler teaches that a faith that makes others better, makes us better too.
