On this episode, I met Bridgette Simpson, and she shared with me her empowering story of survival behind bars for over a decade, for a crime she did not commit. Bridgette has been free for three years now and has built a successful business helping others create a healthy relationship with money. She labels herself an abolitionist whose passion and focus is to dismantle our current judicial system, and re-build and replace with one that is just and fair for all. Her work also focuses on helping formerly incarcerated people transition out of life behind bars and into society, so that they have an opportunity to thrive on the outside. I cannot even begin to tell you all how empowered I felt walking away from this conversation. Bridgette has inspired me and given me a new definition of what not giving up means.
