Sin has a way of messing up so many things in our life, especially our connection to God. Before accepting the free gift of salvation, it’s what keeps us from a relationship with God. After accepting the free gift of salvation, sin can cause us to feel distant from God because we often feel guilty about what we did and think God must be mad at us. So we hide from God or are distance ourselves from Him. But Jesus didn’t go to the cross so we could have a cold distant relationship with our Heavenly Father. Repentance and confession are essential pieces to walk in a close relationship with God.

Have you ever heard a song that moved you? Whether it was the words or music itself, it just had a way of drawing you in so powerfully? Music is an incredible gift, and all throughout the Bible, God’s people have used music to declare how good God is. The songs we sing every Sunday aren’t just because we love music, but because God has given us worship through song as a means of growing closer in our relationship with Him.

One of the ways Scripture gives us to get in tune with God's heart is to fast and pray as we seek Him. Fasting is the practice of laying aside food and sometimes other things to create space for more prayer in our life. Join us as we discover the joy of seeking God through prayer and fasting.

Conflict is an inescapable reality. No one is immune to it. It has a unique way of exposing the motives of our hearts. So we’re going to follow James’ lead and lean into the source of human conflict to see how it brings the quality of our faith to the surface so that we can pursue an authentic faith in God

Life can be confusing, frustrating, and difficult to navigate. Because of that, wisdom is a treasure so valuable we eagerly search for it in books, blogs, and people. But how do we know when we’ve found it? What does true wisdom look like? James shows us the differences between worldly wisdom and wisdom from God and why people of faith pursue the wisdom that is from God.

Faith is essential to having a relationship with God. But is it possible to have a kind of faith that God doesn’t accept? The answer is yes! So we’ll discover qualities and characteristics of both real and counterfeit faith to determine which we have.
