Cs: Pod sněhobílou dekou, která zakrývala ulici, krokoval Jakub rychle směrem k Karlovu mostu.
En: Under the snow-white blanket that covered the street, Jakub walked quickly towards Karlův most (Charles Bridge).

Cs: Město Praha bylo zahaleno do zimní tajemnosti, sněhové vločky padaly z nebe jako drobné hvězdy.
En: The city of Praha (Prague) was shrouded in winter mystery, snowflakes falling from the sky like tiny stars.

Cs: Byla to oslava nového začátku, Nový rok, a každý kout města se pomalu naplňoval lidmi, kteří toužili po nových vzpomínkách a přátelstvích.
