Andrea and Anthony introduce the Bridging the Gap podcast.
Bridging The Gap Podcast mission is to inform health professional students and those interested in health professions a chance to look at barriers to health and how to overcome them. Our current model for looking at health disparities is through a four lenses approach. The first lens is through an academic approach to help us understand what, why, and what is being done to overcome a particular health disparity topic. Our second lens is through the greater Gainesville community such as organizations and businesses that are motivated to eliminate health disparities. This lens allows us to talk to community members about health disparities, and how health disparities have affected their community. The third lens is to talk to people and or physicians who have had first hand or seen how health disparities affect lives directly. Our fourth lens is to have a conversation with health professional students about how we can practically bridge the gap between patient and health professional relationships. Season 0 Episode 0
