We're looking at the first verses of First Peter chapter one today. One thing that should always give us hope is our salvation through Christ. Here's pastor Lloyd with a message titled, "A Living Hope".

Today on Bridging the Gap, pastor Lloyd Pulley will continue a verse by verse tour of the book of First Peter. Peter was greatly influenced by his experiences with the Apostle Paul, and we'll see that influence today in the first verses of First Peter chapter one. The gospel message is a lot simpler than many people make it out to be. God intended it to be readily available to anyone who would simply repent of their sins, and receive His free gift on salvation. We'll concentrate our thoughts on salvation in our first message from First Peter.

When times are tough, the book of First Peter is a good place to turn. And that's where we're headed today and in the coming weeks on Bridging the Gap. Pastor Lloyd Pulley is going to show us how to live the Christian life in the context of suffering. Here he is to introduce the book to us and give us the proper response to persecution.
