The Mavericks are beyond excited to sit and speak with Carrie Aalberts, Dementia Darling. 

We believe that we must challenge that status quo and improve the way we age. Dementia Darling’s Mission is to make sure NO caregiver feels alone in their journey! Her hope is to reach as many people as possible to reduce the stigma about dementia and caregiving through sharing information and experiences. 

Carrie has incredible respect for caregivers across the entire lifespan. However, in her professional life, she has worked mainly with dementia families and professional caregivers. She has a Master of Science focused on Gerontology (study of aging) and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Carrie has been a professional caregiver on and off for the last ten years. 

As our Chief Curiosity Maverick, Francis LeGasse, says, “A Dementia Diagnosis is not the end but a change in the ending!” Together we can create an improved future for the way we age especially those living with Dementia!
